A large and quite stunning ornament, this has the same facet pattern as the crystals used in The Crystal Maze.
These balls are made from clear lead crystal, and are 100mm in diameter. They are good quality, clear crystal and come in a black card presentation box.
Though these are intended as ornaments primarily, we have had quite a few people buy them to use as architectural features, for newel posts on their staircases, for instance.
They have a coating on the bottom that reflects all different colours inside the ball in a quite spectacular way. You can see this, to some extent, in the other pictures on the image carousel.
All our crystal balls are made from lead crystal, which has a higher refractive index than ordinary glass. What this means in practice is that the light that travels through it and within it is bent more, which creates a more brilliant and brighter effect. This ball also has a coating on the base which reflects a whole spectrum of colours.
