Another for raven enthusiasts, this time the raven holding a magical pentacle symbol perches on a skull engraved with ancient map symbols. Again, this is a very well-made, solid and heavy piece, intricately decorated.
The skull opens and there is space inside for keepsakes. There's a picture of this on the image carousel, and also one of the obox from a different, higher angle.
This ornament is 270mm (10 and 1/2 inches) tall.
In Irish mythology ravens are associated with warfare and the battleground in the figures of Badb and the Morrígan. The Morrígan alighted on the hero Cú Chulainn's shoulder in the form of a raven after his death.
