Eyes of the Forest Green Man Goblet

£14.00

A beautiful goblet with a green man face emerging from the bark of a tree.

The face is surrounded by hand-painted leaves, and the eyes are made of glass, so they are lustrous and seem almost alive. There are more pictures, including a close-up of the face and of the foot, which is like gnarled tree roots, if you look on the image carousel.

You'll also see that the face appears on both sides of the goblet.

The goblet is made from heavy cast resin and hand finished.

It is 185mm (19cm or 7 and 1/4 inches) tall.

"To enter a wood is to pass into a different world in which we ourselves are transformed. It is no accident that in the comedies of Shakespeare, people go into the greenwood to grow, learn and change. It is where you travel to find yourself, often, paradoxically, by getting lost." - From "Wildwood: A Journey Through Trees" by Roger Deakin.
