Nature Spirit Glass Goblet

£23.75

This stunning item consists of a large glass goblet with a base and stem made from cold cast bronze. The bowl of the glass features a mysterious face, surrounded with leaves, flowers and fruits, all of which are finely moulded and beautifully decorated.

The stem is like the bark of a tree, descending to the roots on the glass's base. The patinated bronze finish is enhanced with the subtle colours of nature - green, purple and russet. There are more pictures if you look on the image carousel.

The goblet is 220mm (22cm or 8 and 3/4 inches) high and 95mm (9.5cm or 3 and 3/4 inches) across at the point at which the bronze part meets the glass.

In mythology, nature spirits, or deities are composed of etheric matter. Their job is to build and maintain the plant kingdom while working in conjunction with the devas (the essential forces of nature) and the elementals. An elemental is a mythological being first appearing in the alchemical works of Paracelsus in the 16th century. Traditionally, there are four types: gnomes, which are earth elementals, undines, which are water elementals, sylphs, which are air elementals and salamanders, which are fire elementals.
