feng shui
Homes are built or arranged in ways that attract or channel positive and beneficial energies. These energies are invisible and intangible, but they exert powerful influences. Feng shui describes these energies as a kind of life force, called 'chi', or the cosmic breath. Chi can be positive and auspicious, bringing material benefits and great good fortune, in which case it is called 'sheng chi'. It can also be harmful and negative, and is then called 'shar chi', or the killing breath. Feng shui helps to attract the one and avoid the other. It is also possible to energise chosen aspects of life - wealth, study, romance - by placing feng shui 'cures' in the appropriate sector of your home. You can see what these are by looking at the big bagua map; line up the bottom of the map with your front door, or the door of a particular room. Read more about the bagua and how to apply it in your space (and some ideas about clutter and how to rid yourself of it) here....
