I felt just like the Fool, and in fact drew it as the card which depicted my current situation when I launched innermoo. On the precipice of a brand new journey, something that would take me up and beyond my current, normal existence and provide me with both the ups and downs of starting something new. Very exciting!

The Fool is about to step off a cliff, a new adventure is before him and he laughingly walks with his head held high, his life on his back and seemingly without a care in the world. Some will call him foolhardy, some will warn against the adventure, some will try to stop him, out of love and protection. But the only way for The Fool to grow and develop is to take the plunge.

When we receive a message from The Fool we are at the beginning, in fact we are at the point of conception of a new journey in our own lives. This can be a new relationship, new job, new direction, new life! Whatever it relates to it feels both exciting and scarey, we will experience loved ones telling us it is the best thing we can do and warning us from jumping in too soon. We will feel we need to prepare and yet just get on. Conflicting emotions and thoughts will rage through us as we come to terms with what is a momentous start for us and of course inevitably we will be shaking off the old at the same time.

When the Fool enters our lives we can be sure that we are being guided and that this new journey is the right direction for us. The Fool is telling us to let go of all the things holding us back, shake off doubt, ignore the fear and go for it! We have the guidance and support of our own guardian angel, our loved ones will be there for us and we will succeed, despite the inevitable bumps in the road along the way.

Be The Fool – whatever project, new hobby, new job or new person you are avoiding, take a lesson from the Fool and try it out!
