Ivy Pentagram Tree Free Greetings Card

£2.80

A beautiful simple design of a pentacle adorned with twisting tendrils and leaves of ivy, by artist Peter Prakownik.

This card has no message inside, so you can write your own. There is a print inside that is a faint copy of the design on the front. It comes with a beautiful matching envelope, again printed with a version of the same image. You can see this in the other pictures on the image carousel.

As part of the manufacturer's aim to have the lowest possible environmental impact, the card does not come in a cellophane sleeve. This range of cards uses no trees in its production. The cards are made from recycled materials and sustainable alternative plant sources, such as sugar cane waste.

The card measures 150mm x 105mm (5 and 7/8 inches x 4 and 1/4 inches).

The pentagram is the symbol used to represent the four elements - fire, earth, air and water - plus the fifth element, spirit.

Ivy reminds us of the movement of the heavens and the way this is reflected on the earth. It has the ability to bind all things together. It can wander freely, linking tree to tree, or form dense thickets that block out the light and restrict passage. Ivy brings shelter or overwhelming darkness and reminds us that where there is life, there is also death. Ivy represents the wandering of the soul in its search for enlightenment and it carries a warning to be sure of the direction of your desires so that you avoid being ensnared by them.
