Cast from a solid, heavy resin and hand finished, this wall ornament has five besoms or broomsticks arranged in the form of a pentagram.
The item is finished in subtle shades of browns and ochres, with a touch of green, and on the back of the plaque is a metal hanger.
The pentagram is 190mm (19cm or 7 and 1/4 inches) across.
The broomstick, or besom, is iconic in its association with witchcraft. Here it is used to form a pentagram, a five-pointed star emblematic of the five element of earth, air, fire, water and spirit.
