This sphere is carved from wonderful, sparkling red goldstone.
Goldstone is a synthetic mineral, consisting of large, bright metal crystals - in this case, copper - suspended in a semitransparent glass matrix. Because the metal crystals occur throughout the medium, there is a wonderful depth to the way it sparkles.
As you might imagine just from its appearance, goldstone is often used to encourage success in business or new enterprises, and to attract abundance in any situation, domestic or professional.
